Common cold is an infection that occurs in the nose and upper airways. Runny nose is the main symptom of common cold. Different viruses are responsible for cold and these viruses may also be responsible for sore throat, headache, cough, muscle ache, blocked nose, decreased appetite and a sick or uneasy feeling. Common cold can last 3 to 10 days depending on the type of virus that is responsible for the cold.
