Modern life is glutted with things that don’t deliver what they promise. And nowhere is this fakery more evident than in the gym. If every exercise that claimed to chisel your biceps, pumps up your chest and carve out your abs really did the job, the weight room would be filled with lean, muscular guys. You may hit the gym like clockwork several times a week, but you may be just wasting time with exercises that don’t do what they are supposed to.
